An unholy blend of Young Hyson Green Tea and English Lavender, perfect for relaxing the mind while improving focus and cognition. An excellent blend for when energy levels are low coupled with a racing mind, lack of focus, or issues with memory recall.
Young Hyson, or Lucky Dragon Tea, comes from the Anhui Province of China. It is made from young thinly rolled leaves with a long twisted appearance that unfurls when brewed. The name Hyson is most likely derived from an Amoy name meaning flourishing spring tea, although other claims exist believing the tea to be named after an English tea merchant, Phillip Hyson.
Full-bodied with warm plum-like tones and light spring-in floral flavor, Young Hyson, picked in spring, is considered a much higher quality tea than Hyson which is often thought of as a mediocre or low grade. Higher amounts of polyphenols found in Young Hyson help to boost the immune system, regulate blood sugar, aids in detoxing the body, helps to promote healthy teeth, skin, and bones, as well as helping to lower cholesterol, and is great for digestion.
